Chinese internet company LeEco (formerly known as LeTV), which operates the Le Sports service, and Chinese Super League (CSL) side Beijing Guoan FC held a joint press conference this afternoon to announce their strategic co-operation.
As part of the agreement, LeEco will become the new title sponsor of the CSL team instead of acquiring a 50 percent stake of the club as some reports said earlier this month.
Beijing Winter Sports Management Center, set up by China’s sports governing body, held its inaugural meeting yesterday.
At the meeting, Beijing Sports Bureau inked a strategic partnership deal with Century Star, a local company that focuses on the promotion of winter sports.
The deal will see the company organize 15 professional teams, covering winter sports like curling, snowboarding, figure skating, speed skating, ski jumping, double plate skiing and short track speed skating. Those teams will participate in the 14th Chinese Winter Games and other major annual events.
The China Sports Industry Forum 2015 was held yesterday by Peking University (PKU) Institute for Sport Science and PKU Department of Phsical Education, in partnership with TTD Sports Media, PKU Sports Industry Research Center and Graduate School of Management Communication University of China (CUC) .
Chinese Basketball Association giants Beijing Ducks Basketball Club announced in Beijing on Tuesday a two-year partnership deal with Beijing Utour International Travel Service Co., Ltd.
The agreements will see the Beijing Utour become the official travel agency of the defending champion of China’s top tier basketball league last season. However, no financial terms of the deal were disclosed.
2015-16 CBA opened up on 31st, Beijing, as the defending champion, was upset in their first match. However, they also have good news. Cosmotailor, a men`s designer clothes brand just inked the deal to become the official supplier of Beijing Ducks. Cosmotailor will provide hand-made suits, shoes,shirts, ties to the players.
As Zhangchi, the CEO of Cosmotailor introduced, the brand was founded in 1916 at Shanghai by Wang Lianfang, Zhangchi’s great-grandfather. They were one of the companies which imported advanced equipment and technology at that time. In 2012, Cosmotailor built partnership with Edmin, a famous tailor in London.
The Chinese capital of Beijing has been awarded the rights to host the 2017 World Women’s Curling Championships.
The event, awarderd by the World Curling Federation (WCF) on October 19, is set to take place from March 18 to 26, 2017. The venue for the championship is yet to be confirmed.
It marks for the first time a World Women’s Curling Championship to be held in China, following the men’s edition being held at Beijing’s Capital Indoor Stadium last year.
It also represents another boost for winter sports in Beijing, after the city was announced to be the host city for the 2022 winter Olympic Games back in July.
